Senior Accountant - Blattner Technologies

Location: Nashville, TN. This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule with an expectation of 3 days in the office.

Job Summary:
Blattner Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining and recording transactions in the company’s general ledger and assisting in the monthly close process all the while ensuring accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards. This role demands a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work effectively within the finance team and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
  • Support the finance team with any additional tasks and projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is strongly preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Experience with financial reporting, and corporate tax filings, and managing audits.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and financial modeling.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule: Flexible hybrid (3 days in the office)

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation Range: $80,000-$100,000 annually
